Here at Morthyng we pride ourselves on the availability and quality of support for ALL our learners on programme from the very beginning right through to the end. It is vitally important that support is available at all times, not only enabling achievement and progression on our courses but most importantly that every Learner has a positive experience.
Our dedicated Recruitment Team can offer you an initial interview Monday to Friday at a time to suit you. The interview is nothing to worry about, it is just an informal chat to make sure that you are on both the right course and right level to suit your needs which will ensure that you can progress towards your goal. During the interview we will discuss what you have achieved previously, whether you’re your end goal is Apprenticeship, Employment or Further Education and what you need to do to get there. At this this point we will also give you a Bursary application pack.
On your first day our Recruitment Team will take you through an induction which will include; a tour of the premises, an overview of our policies and procedures, what support is available and how to access it and what to expect from your time with us at Morthyng. We will also check and support you in the completion of your bursary application if needed which will have been given to you on your interview.
Every Learner at Morthyng is assigned a dedicated Student Support Officer who will take them through the whole journey from the first day on programme right through to the last. The key role of the Student Support Officer is to give guidance and support outside the normal course activities, enabling you to receive bespoke support tailored around your individual needs. Your Student Support Officer will help and support in all aspects of your learning experience to ensure you have a positive experience and progress into your goals.
We will do our upmost to make sure you are on the correct course, on the rare occasion we are unable to offer the route most suited to you we will help to signpost to a provider who can!
We have a wide range of external agencies available who can offer bespoke support for just about any situation that arises throughout your time with us. Whatever your individual needs are we will make sure you receive the best support available to ensure you continue to achieve and progress both on and off your course.
